The sun is peeking behind the mountains letting rays of light paint the sky pink and orange as well as the large puffy clouds threatening to engulf the sky.  The forest, just beside a lake and the mountains, is dead silent.  No one is around to notice the weird markings in the sky except for a certain dragon.

Flying through the clouds, leaving trails of while behind, is the king of the forest; a blue scaled dragon that goes by the name Perfy.  His title, king, is given to him only because of his size and no one feels like trying to take on the large creature to gain title.

Perfy continues flying through the clouds, his vitilgo spots blending into the clouds while his scales match the patches between the clouds.  He blends in perfectly to the sky, no one would even notice that it was he who was breaking the clouds except for the glint from the two handed sword hanging around his neck much like a medallion.

Morning dew clings to his paws as he land on soft grass below and not too far from his destination, a morning swim at the lake.  The blue dragon starts to enjoy the mushy cold mud underneath his paws and the traces of water when tiny voices begin screaming out the dragon's name.  Instinct told him exactly who it was, and sure enough a glance to his side does he spot tiny creatures emerging from the forest and running around his feet excitedly.

Flapping his wings gently with minimal wind and folding them close for warmth, "Not today guys, I'm hungry!  But first…" lowering his head as he speaks to let the others climb on top.

They all head over to the watering hole.  The entire forest can hear the creatures making their way to the lake.  Singing or screaming at such a high pitch, surely the birds would call them an easy meal if the dragon wasn't there.  Still, they scurry along Perfy's back and to his tail so happily that the dragon can't help but start feeling good.

Reaching the lake doesn't stop the singers on Perfy's back but it shuts him up rather quickly, don't want the fishes making jokes for the next week.  He shakes his torso and the creatures all shrill as they flee.

Perfy laughs as he looks back to see the creatures running for the nearest tree, "I need a quick dip!  I'll be back."

A chorus of 'aw's follow him until they're followed by the sound of tiny footprints heading back into the woods.  Now alone, the dragon takes a breathe of relief and heads into the water for a routine morning swim.  The first step is ice cold and makes him think twice about it but a voice changes everything.

"Morning Perfy."

His head jerks into the direction and he spots a green tailed mermaid swimming just up ahead.  It's a rare sight as mermaids only went above water in the morning and night.  This particular mermaid is a close friend of Perfy though, causing the blue dragon to barge right in the icy waters.  Leaving his sword behind in case the strap would break…again, the idea of swimming to the bottom of the lake to grab it didn't sound inviting.

"M-morning Ko-r-r-iko" shivering as he feels the water rising until it's up to his neck and he's swimming over to her.

The mermaid just giggles and swims off; with an excited dragon on her trail.  Swimming in the freezing water reminds him of the swims he took in rivers at the nearby mountains.  Just like those waters, it takes only minutes before his body grows use to the temperature and he turns into a natural swimmer.  Twisting and turning, he tries to find the elusive mermaid for almost twenty minutes before calling it quits.

Heading back to the water, planning out what he would eat for breakfast, his blue eyes spot a glint shining in his eyes.  Looking in the direction he sees something moving and his curious nature kicks in.  Diving head first with his horned nose sticking out the water, he swims quietly to where the glint originated from and to what he knew to be Koriko.

Sure enough, sitting on a rock with a golden brush running through her blonde hair is the mermaid he sought after.  Slipping into 'creeper' mode he only lifts his horns and eyes above water level; careful not to be seen by his 'prey' and gains front row seats to her body.

Mermaids, from this lake, see no point in wearing seashells like most people believe because where would anyone find one in a lake?  Thus, they're as naked as the day they were born and making them targets for the friendly yet perverted dragon.

Sooner than he would like, Perfy's entertainment end when a tree branch breaks somewhere nearby and scares away Koriko.  The blonde jumps into the water and swims away at missile speed out of fright, leaving Perfy to growl at his 'unlucky day'.  Turning his tail, Perfy lifts his head out of the water and head back to shore.

"Wow, what's a sword doing out here?" a whiny loud voice practically yells.

Sword!?  Now Perfy swims at neck breaking speed only to run up on the shore and find a knight looking human wielding his sword.  Precautious not to let the human see him he jumps into the treetops above and watches him, making sure the human didn't see anything.

Down below the human continues whipping the sword in the air aimlessly while commenting on how nice it was.  Meanwhile Perfy simply snorted quietly and got comfortable in the tree.  He knew how good the sword was!  It was his after all!

Almost a hour past with no sight of an end until the human cries out in pain after a swing of the sword; alarming the half sleeping dragon.  Peering down, he finds the human sitting on the floor cradling his right elbow.  No blood was in sight so the dragon calmed down and figured it to be muscle cramp.

"Ugh…I need to get back" the human claims rather loudly as he gets back up, "I need to stop falling out of trees before I kill myself."  Throwing the strap over his shoulder and tying it securely, he heads back to, what Perfy figures, the local city.

City is such a strong word to use, more like a very crowded town.  Either way, Perfy knew that once the man reaches the city it would be nearly impossible to track him.  No, he has to stop him before that happens.  Thinking up a plot using the help of his woodland creatures, they put Operation Sword Theif into action!

With the sword tightly tied to his waist, the human cries out as he falls through a rotten tree trunk that he tried to walk on.  Pulling his foot out he screams at the sight of a bunch of bugs crawling up his leg and runs into a tree which causes all the birds to squawk.

"Damn it, will I stop running into trouble?"  The guy mumbles angrily to himself as he doubles check if any bugs are still crawling about on him.

The sound of crumpling leaves causes him to turn around and there before him stood a fourteen inch tall dragon!  Perfy's eyes stare at the tiny human.  And he use the word "tiny" because the guy is smaller than most humans.  In fact…it's a teen!

"S-st-ay back!"  The boy cries in fear and whips out Perfy's sword.

Perfy musters his best intimidating voice, "Don't point that thing at me, child.  I don't have patience for the likes of you.  Return my sword."

"I-I'll slay y-y-ou…please?"  The boy starts out semi strong but ends in a whisper, lowering his sword.

'This is going to be one those days' Perfy thinks to himself and sits down, "Now what will you do with a dead dragon?"  His tail wraps around his front claws.

"Huh?"  The boy looks at him weirdly and then thinks up an answer, "Duh!  Obviously cut off your head and take you back to the village.  I'll be called a hero and Anabell will finally notice me!"  He raises the sword again at Perfy but the dragon doesn't mind this time.

"All of this…for a girl?"  His eyes glints in a particular way that even the boy stares at him oddly but the dragon lets out a maniacal laughter that just confuses the boy more.  "Let's make a deal!  I was just going to kill you and feed you to the wolves but I have a better idea."  He jumps over beside the boy and lowers his face, "If I can get this Anabell to notice you", his tail moves closer to the sword, "then I get my sword back."

The human all but drops the sword, "Really?  You'd do that?"

"Of course" Perfy walks in front of the human and holds his claw out, "deal?"

Staring at each other for a moment, the human clutches the sword tightly before sheathing it back and grabbing the dragon's claw.  Together, they come up with a devious plan and promise to return the sword after the deed was completed.

Strolling through the open meadows of the city's farm lands is a teenage girl with long flowing brown hair and emerald eyes.  With a basket in her right hand she is picking herbs just past the fence keeping the cattle in city limits.

"Anabell" a voice screams out the name.

Looking past the meadow the girl stands up and spots the teenage knight running towards her; smiling she waves at him, "Noel!  I don't see you running around usually, something's wrong?"

As she took a step towards him her eyes spot something large jumping out of the forest with sharp teeth.  Noel runs up to her and turns around, pulling how the shiny sword and points it at the dragon.

Focused on the creature, "Get up in the tree!  I'll fight him off" Noel tells Anabell as the creature closes in.

Before she could say anything she lets out a scream as the creature narrowly misses them with a snap of his jaw.  Anabell runs behind the tree and watches Noel fend off the creature with only his sword.

One snap.  Two snaps.

Anabell stops looking and covers her eyes, terrified by the battle.  She sits down and tries to shrink herself as small as possible.  She doesn't even notice the bloody figure approaching her until a red coated hand appears before her face.

With her eyes wide, "Noel!?"  The figure nods and she embraces him tightly, "Are you okay!?  Where is the dragon?"

"Gone" he smiles, "I stabbed him and he ran off with his tail between his legs!"

"Come with me, I'll take you home and get you cleaned up."

Holding hands she grabs her basket before pulling him back to the city.

Back in the forest a certain blue dragon is sitting in front of a berry bush with red sauce all over his muzzle.  All over his body are identical red spots, giving the dragon a fruity smell that are attracting his little forest friends.  Hanging around his neck is his ever faithful sword, covered in the sticky red goo but secured in the sheathe.

So sorry for taking so long Perfy! This is the story for you! I hope you enjoy it, the ending is kind of rushed so excuse it for now. I will touch it up one day or possibly sooner.
